Dear Family & Friends,

We hope that you and your family are healthy, staying safe, and enjoying holiday preparations. As we have made it through the second year of the pandemic, now more than ever, we all hold dear the value of employment. These times have been very difficult for all of us in many ways, but we’re so thankful for our community, people like you, who have rallied and cheered on our program participants through some of the toughest times. Employment Horizons serves nearly 500 people each year with disabilities. Our mission and passion are to help each person served reach the goal of obtaining the job of their choice.

Even through hard times, there’s always a reason to smile. We were able to hold our Annual Recognition Dinner during October where we celebrated the achievements of two very special program participants well deserving of recognition (See the photos) Chris is the first recipient of our Paul Arthur Appel Award, named after a program participant whose life and work brought joy to everyone around him. Chris successfully transitioned to a job in his community nearly ten years ago after starting employment in our agency-based program. He’s a faithful stock associate at two of our local PetSmart stores. Valerie is the recipient of our William Huber Achievement Award because of her dedication and excellent work at Wegmans of Hanover. Valerie works with the store’s Head Chef helping to prepare food items for catering and the salad bar. We are so proud of their success and dedication to their jobs!

Chris and Valerie are just two of the hundreds of people with disabilities that Employment Horizons helps each day. It’s not only our mission but our joy to serve them!

During this Holiday Campaign of “Thanks II”, would you donate to support and enhance our services that help hundreds of people with disabilities? Over .96 cents of every dollar donated to Employment Horizons goes directly towards these programs; directly to services for those who need our help.

On behalf of Chris, Valerie, and many others, we thank you and wish you a very Happy Holiday Season!
