Matthew Putts, PhD, is the Executive Director of Employment Horizons, Inc. He acts as the Chief Executive Officer for the organization, overseeing all agency operations and ensuring financial stability and corporate and accreditation compliance. He is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and holds a doctorate in Rehabilitation Counseling and Administration from East Carolina University, a master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling from Rutgers University, and a bachelor’s in psychology from Colgate University.
Assistant Executive Director
Jacqueline Burns is the Assistant Executive Director of Employment Horizons, Inc. She develops, directs, and coordinates facility and community-based vocational and rehabilitation services and coordinates advocacy efforts and grants. Jacky came to EH in 1998 and has served as Manager of Rehabilitation Services and Senior Counselor. She has been in the field of Rehabilitation Counseling working with college students and people involved with worker’s compensation and long term disability. Jacky holds a bachelor’s in Rehabilitation Services and master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling from Springfield College and maintains the national recognition of Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC).
Robert Johnston is the CFO at Employment Horizons, Inc. He is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the organization and supervising all financial and administrative operations. He has been with Employment Horizons since 1997. Bob has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Peter’s College and an MBA in Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Bob has been a Volunteer Member of the Whippany Fire Department for over 25 years, and has served as Fire Commissioner.
Manager of Career Development Services
Liz DeCamp is the Manager of Career Development Services. She ensures the delivery of high quality and timely vocational guidance, job placement, job coaching and job retention services for persons served by Vocational Rehabilitation Services and Career Development Services. She has been with Employment Horizons since 1988. Liz holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Radford University in Radford, Virginia.
Director of Commercial Services
Joseph Smith is the Director of Commercial Services. He oversees, coordinates and directs all departmental operations to maximize opportunities for disabled workers, ensure financial viability of contracts and customer satisfaction. Joe has been with Employment Horizons since 2006, and has also acted as the organization’s Manager of Technology Services.
Director of Development
Lisa Montalbano is the Director of Development. She prospects new business contacts to encourage the growth and development of the agency-wide services of Employment Horizons, and implements sales and marketing strategies to promote our agency’s business programs. She also oversees the cultivation of donors and the creation and maintenance of relationships with all levels of external and internal constituencies. She has been with Employment Horizons since 1998. Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in Executive Leadership, both from Liberty University.
Manager of Education Initiatives
Samantha Oras is the Manager of Education Initiatives. She oversees the agency’s educational training programs and also works to develop new training programs that fulfill Employment Horizons’ mission. She has been with Employment Horizons since 2013. Sam holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and women’s studies from William Paterson University and a master’s degree in sociology and social justice from Kean University. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member at William Paterson University.
Manager of HR/Administrative Services
Amanda Cortese is the Manager of HR/Administrative Services and is primarily responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. Amanda joined the team at Employment Horizons in 2010. She currently has her Associates Degree in Psychology from County College of Morris and her Professional in Human Resources certification through HRCI.
Director of Operations
Ford Shaw is the Director of Operations. He directs and coordinates business activities related to fulfillment, shredding and facility management to support the mission of the agency. He has been with Employment Horizons since 2004. Ford holds a bachelor’s degree in business from University of Denver Business College.
