Variety makes work interesting! At Employment Horizons, our program participants develop and hone new skills by trying out plenty of different work opportunities. CJ just completed a hardware kit packing job earlier this week; he's also been testing CAT cables, and today, he's working on our janitorial team--way to go, CJ!

We were so excited to welcome Steve and his therapy dog Kayla from Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs to our Advocates in Action meeting today! The Advocates learned about how therapy dogs are trained and Steve and Kayla's work in the community--and got plenty of pets in, too!

We love getting out in the community to connect with high schoolers looking to transition to adult life. Employment Horizons is advocating for bills that w

Employment Horizons is advocating for bills that would strengthen our Extended Employment Program and preserve personal choice with job options for people with significant disabilities in NJ, in partnership with our clients, families, fellow agencies, and ACCSES NJ.

Along with Loretta Boronat, a parent whose son works in our Extended Employment Program, our CEO Lisa Montalbano recently testified to the Senate Budget Committee, urging them to maintain full funding in the Governor's 2026 budget; at present, the statewide budget calls for a 3.4 million decrease.
